The arrangement is relatively faithful to Berry’s original, just way amped up. That’s kind of the problem though. It starts at 100% and never deviates; it’s just two-and-a-half minutes of the same thing. It also lacks the call and response element that spices up earlier covers like “Twist and Shout” and “Money.” But at the end of the day, it’s John Lennon tackling a Chuck Berry song, so there’s not really a whole lot to complain about.
